The fire was reported on Beech Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, prompting a heavy response from multiple fire departments in the area. In total, approximately nine companies and three dozen firefighters responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.

Fire officials said that it took approximately a half hour to knock down the flames, which were largely contained to the first floor of the building, though some second-floor units suffered damage, as did the building itself.

The building was quickly evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
